Autodialer is a musical experience fourteen years in the making. Vince and Joshua first played together in 1991 in a college metal band called Guyana Koolaid. A decade later, Joshua was rounding out his tenure in DC jam phenom Mobia's Trip and Vince had just returned to DC after spending time in Boston and New York. After reaccquainting over a few open mics, Joshua spent time working on a solo bass project while Vince joined the party band FishHead. In March of 2005, Joshua subbed in with FishHead on bass and eventually joined the band. As they worked together on their repertoire of covers, they began to explore writing together for the first time in almost a decade and a half. Joined finally by their friend Bethany from Odd Girl Out, Autodialer was born.
